WHAT IS LED LIGHT THERAPY?
The LED Light Therapy Facial is a painless, relaxing skin-care treatment that plumps up ageing skin by boosting collagen production and treats acne by killing bacteria. LED stands for light-emitting-diodes. First developed by NASA, LED works by sending energy-producing packets of light into the deeper layers of the skin.
Light Therapy is a totally natural, non-invasive treatment that is proven to boost collagen, increase hydration and improve microcirculation in just 20 minutes.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
LED works with the body’s own natural processes to counteract the effects of ageing and clears acne-prone skin. What is LED Light Therapy?
LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive, pain-free, soothing and rejuvenating skin treatment. LED lights are targeted deep into the skin cells to heighten internal functions, photo-stimulation of blood flow, induce faster healing, decrease pain and soothe skin conditions.
When do I use LED Light Therapy?
LED Light Therapy can be used as a fast and effective stand-alone treatment typically lasting between 10 and 20 minutes and can be tailored to suit your individual skin goals.
Alternatively, LED Light Therapy can be used to initiate and induce the healing process following almost any medi-aesthetic treatment such as AlphaShape and Plasmalift.
What is the difference between Red and Blue Light?
Completely non-invasive, the frequency of red light penetrates deep into the body’s essential building blocks. Boosting bloodflow and collagen production, Red Light Therapy activates and stimulates ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production– all of which leaves the skin clearer, tighter and brighter. There are no side effects or downtime and regular treatments promote natural skin healing.
Blue Light Therapy is another gentle LED procedure that penetrates your skin’s pores and eliminates bacteria. While some bacteria are helpful, others promote oil production and other blemish-causing conditions. - Keep your skin as hydrated as possible by using hydrating serums and masks.
- To accelerate and enhance your results exfoliate after 2-3 days using a professional exfoliant.
- Wear a professional-grade SPF throughout your course of treatments.
- Try not to touch your skin after your advanced skin treatment.
How does it work?

What results should I expect?

No. Your skin will warm very slightly, as that is how the treatment works. It is not painful.
How long do the effects of LED Light Therapy treatment last?
The effects of LED Light Therapy will likely last for a very long time. However, it is not a miracle cure that freezes your skin in place for all eternity.
How many LED Light Therapy treatments will I need to get the desired effect?
Generally 6 to 12 visits are recommended. We will develop an individualised treatment program for you when you come in. It is beneficial to book maintenance sessions after your initial course has run out, as your skin will still age.
