Exfoliant Decision Tree – Therapist Guide
Step 1: Assess Skin Type & Condition
-
Sensitive / Red / Rosacea / Barrier-Impaired → proceed to Step 2A
-
Normal / Combination / Oily, Non-Sensitive → proceed to Step 2B
-
Pigmentation / Acne / Anti-Aging Concern → note for Step 3 (product choice)
Step 2A: Sensitive / Reactive / Rosacea
-
Goal: Gentle resurfacing without irritation
-
Exfoliant Choice:
-
Weekly: Reveal Face Polish
-
Daily or 2–3x/week: Reveal Tonic (enzymatic, mild)
-
-
Avoid: Clarify Tonic, Dual Action Peel, strong acids on reactive nights
-
Barrier Support: Always apply B-Gentle after exfoliant
Step 2B: Normal / Combination / Oily / Resilient
-
Goal: Clear pores, texture improvement, anti-aging / brightening
-
Exfoliant Choice:
-
Weekly: Dual Action Peel or Reveal Face Polish
-
2–3x/week: Clarify Tonic
-
Optional: Reveal Tonic on alternating nights for extra mild enzymatic support
-
-
Barrier Support: B-Gentle or B-Strong depending on tolerance
Step 3: Pigmentation / Anti-Aging / Acne
-
Goal: Brightening, cell turnover, anti-inflammatory support
-
Recommendations:

-
Dual Action Peel: 1x/week
-
Reveal Face Polish: 1x/week as needed
-
-
Acne / Oily Skin:

-
Reveal Tonic: alternating nights for sensitive spots
-
-
-
Note: Never combine strong acids with retinol on the same night
Step 4: Frequency & Rotation Rules
-
Strong exfoliants (Clarify Tonic, Dual Action Peel): max 2–3 nights/week
-
Retinol nights: Step 2 = blank (retinol only), apply barrier serum afterward
-
Weekly mechanical / enzymatic exfoliant (Reveal Face Polish): replaces Step 2 tonic/exfoliant
-
Barrier serum (B-Gentle/B-Strong): always after exfoliant/tonic
